Weddings are time that makes us celebrate life and relations. Its the time of life when the whole family comes together to be a part of their special moment and embrace the sweet little things of life!
Therefore when it was Maggie and Josh’s wedding being planned the couple had tried to make the best arrangements for everything that they could. As it was a close wedding affair they wanted to be specific and particular about their choice. So when it came to choosing the flower girls they both knew what they wanted.
Maggie and Josh chose their grandmothers as the flower girls. Both of them approached their grandmothers with the idea and the grandmothers were convinced with the beautiful gesture.
On the wedding day, Bride’s grandmother Joyce Benedict, 75 and Groom’s grandmother Drue Fitzgerald, 74 were seen in beautiful gray lace dresses holding a casket together and strewing rose petals around. Both giggled, laughed and enjoyed the moment. Maggie said it was her idea to make this special gesture as Maggie and her sister had been raised by her grandmother and had stayed with her most of her life. Although it was only in the pictures that she got to see the moments unfold.
The photographer who took the wedding pictures lays an emphasis on the grandmothers walking down the aisle and strewing flowers exclaiming that in their 10 year of career they hadn’t seen something as different and beautiful like this.
The grandmothers did really enjoy being the flower girls for their grand children. Maggie and josh were honored by their grandmother’s gesture in the wedding and seemed to really get emotional with the moments.
The wedding turned out to be one-of-a-kind with the beautiful pictures, special moments and the unique way in which the whole celebration unfolded for the couple!
