Connor’s death gives a lesson to many and his mom makes sure to educate each one!
It was a life shattering moment for Connor’s mom when she found her son unconscious in comma and breathing his last because he had taken a hit from the famously available Marijuana, which is sold legally over the counters.
Connor Reid Eckhardt’s was a nineteen-year-old boy whose life came to an abrupt ending with just a hit of a legal drug.
This is an age where young people are into trying all the things and who would have thought that a drug that is so widely available over the counter would be so treacherous and deadly.
Connor lost his life after battling to coma for a good four days and Connor’s mom could not get away with the fact.
Connor’s mom dealt with her pain and depression to fight against the cause that caused Connor’s life.
She is now running an awareness program through her ‘The Connor Project Foundation’. The family has turned the Project online with a website aptly named “thedirtiestkeptsecret.org”
The Project aims at creating awareness about the availability of poisons in the name of drugs across the world over the counters and imparts knowledge to people about the harsh effects of it by sharing Connor’s story.
Connor’s mom does not one anyone to lose their son the way she did and is making efforts towards imparting people with the knowledge of the drug’s names, their contents and explaining their children how it is poisonous for them.
In her story, she mentions, “A ‘hit of spice’ took your life” clearly directing towards the synthetic Marijuana, which took her son’s life. She says, “Hold your children’s hands. Memorize them. Please educate yourself and your children on the dangers of synthetic drugs”. Connor’s mom aims to save at least a life and impact positive knowledge to users all over the world in the use of synthetic drugs unconsciously too.
Connor’s mom is doing whatever she can to put an end to the poison that took her sweet boy’s life, and it’s working.
You can help Connor’s mom spread the word by educating your family and friends, and by sharing their story.
Rest in Peace sweet Connor, your life may have been taken away, but many more will live because of you.
