First kid to have a double hand transplant
Who says you cannot restore faith in God! For Zion Harvey faith got restored for more times than one and from being a suffering child he is now a fighter.
Zion Harvey a 9-year-old boy had been born with an infection which took away his hands and he had been struggling through this ailment since birth now. The infected kidney was an add-on to the number of problems that he had been dealing with.
Zion has undergone an operation and kidney transplant at the age of two with his mother being his donor. After much of struggle, his kidney had been restored and he was now able to live more days but without hands.
Faith came knocking his door when this kid got to have a double hand transplant. This indeed was an achievement for his doctors, family and most importantly him when they saw that double hand transplant was possible and operated on him. His hands, which could not be worked on, were now replaced with a new pair which makes him go through daily chores with ease now.
Zion has been through the impossible and making changes with his life. He had been the first kid in the world to receive the bilateral hand transplant and also given the honor to throw out the first ceremonial pitch at the Baltimore Oriole’s game.
The child had been courageous and accepting of whatever comes his way and has changed his life from a 12 hours long operation of hand transplant in one year to throwing the first ball at the Baltimore Oriole’s game the next.
This is indeed a courageous and fighter spirit of Zion and his mother that instills faith and belief in God and his magical ways through which he restores faith. As for Zion, life is getting better each day!
