Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Kyle Maynard proved where there is a will there is a way!
Sometimes we even catch the glimpse of the unobvious and claim the difference but other times we miss out on what should be obvious and realize later. This was the case with Kyle Maynard who was missed out on some usual facts while being in his mother’s womb.
It is obvious for doctors to run a checklist when watching the ultrasound of a pregnant woman but with Kyle the doctors missed out noticing if he had limbs or not. The fact came real when Kyle was born defying the stating of the reports. This condition is known as congenial amputation and babies born with this rare condition are seen affected only by fingers or toes. But with Kyle, the universe played a harsh game with him having no arms and legs. The young parents of Kyle were on a constant breakdown with Kyle’s independence and decisions.
Kyle beat the regular phenomenon when he was seen turning rare in his growing years. By the time Kyle has reached his schooling days, he had become an ace footballer, a champion wrestler and could bench 420 pounds. Kyle managed to fight with the world but the inner war started taking a toll on him with depression and signs of withdrawal. He started putting on weight, staying isolated and the career he had heartily built was taking a back seat too.
In the year 2011, Kyle met an old lady named Cory Johnson who has lost her son in Afghanistan riots. The old lady told him of his son’s dream of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Making the stranger’s dreams his own, Kyle decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro – the tallest and the fiercest mountain in Africa. Mount Kilimanjaro is known to be a climber’s dream and is also known as ‘The House Of God‘. Kyle let his friend’s know of his excitement and fearlessness and set out on a journey to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. What happened next? Watch in the video!
